As a Christian woman enduring physical abuse from her husband, Rose Saad heard conflicting advice from her faith community. She wrestled with spiritual issues that stood between her and the help she desperately needed. Every day, everywhere, women like Rose face not only the danger and torment of domestic violence, they struggle with God, question their faith, and receive inaccurate messages from a well-meaning church community. In A Path to Hope, Rose intertwines her own experiences with those of other abused women within the church, to offer a much-needed guide for the abused Christian woman—and for her supporters—as she seeks help and healing.

About The Author:
Rose Saad is a Christian, a survivor of domestic violence, and a registered nurse. In her experience as an emergency room nurse and a member of her faith community, she has noticed that both trained professionals and mature Christians frequently misunderstand the abused women who come to them for help. She also noticed a lack of resources designed to help Christian women suffering domestic violence. Rose began writing materials for a support group, which eventually became the foundation for A Path to Hope. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in pastoral counseling and speaks publicly on the subject of domestic violence. Rose resides in Maryland, loves photography, and has three adult children.
